What is the
Fright Club?
The Fright Club
NI is Ireland's premier horror film fan club screening a wide selection of
classic and cult horror films, providing film reviews, in depth editorials,
exclusive interviews, a fortnightly podcast called The Dissection and a
discussion panel as part of their Youtube show Monday Night Frights. They are
Official Press and cover various film festivals including FrightFest and
Fantasia.
They were
founded in 2019 by Gavin Logan and Danny Brown, two avid film lovers who wanted
to share their passion for cinema with their local community and beyond. Since
then they have screened 28 films and last year brought their first round of
special guests to Ballymena including Simon Bamford (Hellraiser, Hellbound,
Nightbreed) and Craig Conway (The Descent, Dog Soldiers). They also support and
highlight local talent by screening short films from local filmmakers and
celebrating Irish/NI funded feature projects like Boys From County Hell.
Their goal is to continue to bring unique film events to Ballymena.
